Have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon or a helicopter? Where did you go?
Yes to both.
It was my girlfriend Jo's 30th birthday, and her boyfriend arranged for a small group of us to go for a early morning hot air balloon ride. We went out over the south-western suburbs of Sydney and it was a real thrill! It was awesome to get a "birds-eye-view" perspective of our hometown, and enjoy a lovely champagne breakfast afterwards.
The year before the hot air balloon ride, Jo and I travelled to Queenstown, New Zealand, for an extreme sports holiday. We bungee-jumped from the 134m Nevis, white-water rafted, and went on a helicopter ride around the Remarkables. The trip to Queenstown was one of my favourite ever holidays, as the day activities were awesome, and the night-life was great too. All the clubs and bars were open every night of the week, we tried some choice restaurants, and got to meet some cool folk.
Ah, the memories ....
Which foods do you eat a lot of? Too much of?
Submitted by Allishandra. The calorific type! Food full of evil insidious calories which serve only to add to my womanly curves whilst tantalising my taste-buds... [cue decadent long weekend here]
Our workplace recently introduced "casual Fridays", so we're allowed to dress casually on Fridays. Today is my self-imposed "Friday", and I'm wearing my jeans, "Chuck Taylors" and a t-shirt even though it's only Thursday. Being dressed casually rather than in business attire doesn't exactly help my mood. Quite frankly I can't be arsed working!
I'm in "long-weekend mode" already and as such, am too hyped/irresponsible/apathetic to concentrate on work. We Sydney-siders have been given tomorrow off because of the nuisance APEC Summit meetings that have disrupted our city. The extra day added to our weekend is considered by many, the only positive to come out of the APEC Summit.
B is at home today getting ready for his annual "boys fest", in which he goes away on a houseboat for the weekend. Each year, B and a group of his closest mates go away on a nautical expedition of fishing, gourmet food cook-offs, jam sessions and male bonding. So with this weekend being the chosen "boys fest" weekend, I'll be left to my own devices, and am hoping to try to get in some girlfriend bonding and pampering of my own. Tomorrow I'm having brunch with my sister D, and my closest girlfriend M is coming over on Saturday, to stay for a couple of days.
I am more than ready for the long weekend. In fact, I was ready the moment I worked in the office this morning.
With this outstanding work ethic of mine, I can feel an "employee of the month" nomination coming up for me very soon!
Tell us a true story that proves it really is a small world after all.

I have a bit of a dilemma - not many of my clothes fit me anymore. Why, you ask? Well, they've all up and moved to the place called "too small world" in protest to my ever burgeoning voluptuosness. So yeah, it's a fucking small world alright!
How do you sign your emails?
Submitted by rosemarypepper.
Well my sign-off depends on the recipient of the email. I usually have different sign-offs for different people.
Colleagues : "Regards, B"
Friends : "Cheers, B" or "Cheers, Deenz" or "Love, Deenz"
Family : "Love, Deenz" or "Love, Deena"
Boyfriend : "Kisses, hugs and nipple tugs, Love you, Deenz xxxx"
What other names did your parents consider for you?
My mother wanted to name me "Merle" after the woman who was like a second mother to her.
Luckily Aunty Merle talked my Mum out of it! Well not completely, there was a compromise - I now have Merle as one of my middle names - yuck! However, the fact that the woman I was named after was such a remarkable woman, makes having such a matronly middle name tolerable, and is an honour really.
Tell us two truths and a lie about yourself.
1. I have bungy jumped before and long to do it again
2. I used to be a man named Ken, but for the past 7 years, I'm now officially recognised as a women named Barbie
3. I am on a journey of self-discovery, and discovering more than I expected
Which band or artist which is no longer performing or alive would you have loved to have seen?
Submitted by Rev Stan.
I would've loved to have seen Bob Marley perform live. I love Uncle Bob, and think he would've been an entralling performer in concert.
One of my girlfriend's flicked this track over my way, and it is now one of my most played songs at the moment. I love this song - my "feel good" song.
LIL STAR by Kelis
There is nothing special about me
I am just a lil star
If it seems like I'm shining brightly
It's probably a reflection of something you already are
I forget about myself sometime
When there's so many other around
When deep inside you feels the darkest
That is where I can always be found
That is where I can always be found
That is where I can always be found
Just keep trying and trying
It's just a matter of timing
Though the grinding is tiring
Don't let 'em stop you from smiling
Just keep trying and trying
Sooner or later you'll find it
It's surprising how inspiring
It is to see you shining
'Cause in the dark of the night you're all I can see
and you sure look like a star to me
There is nothing special about me
I am just a lil star
If you try to reach out an touch me
you'll see I'm not really that far
I may not be the brightest nor am I the last one you’ll see
But as long as you notice, that’s just fine with me
Everything’s just fine with me
Everything’s just fine with me
Just keep trying and trying
It's just a matter of timing
Though the grinding is tiring
Don't let 'em stop you from smiling
Just keep trying and trying
Sooner or later you'll find it
It's surprising how inspiring
It is to see you shining
'Cause in the dark of the night you're all I can see
and you sure look like a star to me
There is nothing special about me
I am just a lil star
I’ve been running and jumping, but barely
Getting, getting over the bar
I plan on being much more than I, am but that's in due time
But until then I'm guilty, and being human’s my crime
Being human that is my crime
Being human that is my crime
Just keep trying and trying
It's just a matter of timing
Though the grinding is tiring
Don't let 'em stop you from smiling
Just keep trying and trying
Sooner of later you'll find it
It's surprising how inspiring
It is to see you shining
'Cause in the dark of the night you're all I can see
and you sure look like a star to me
